Mani Rao

Mani Rao (b.1965 India) is author of seven poetry books, has published in journals including Tinfish, Wasafiri, Meanjin, Chandrabhaga, WestCoastLine, and in several anthologies. Translations of her poems have been published in seven languages. She was Visiting Fellow at the 2005 Iowa IWP, and won their 2006 writer-in-residence fellowship. In Hong Kong, she was co-founder of OutLoud readings and contributed a poetry segment to Radio 4. Mani is a perpetual student of Sanskrit and Vedic literature, and is working on a translation.
