Guardian Review of Hamid's 2 nd novel
James Lasdun seems to find it hard to categorize Mohsin Hamid's A Reluctant Fundamentalist as a very good novel or an excellent one though he ultimately opts for the former even as he calls it an 'engaging highly intelligent piece of work.' Hamid talks about his own difficulties with the structure and narrative, and how he overcame them, in an interview with his publishers.
