COLOR WHEEL CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS SPECIAL MUSIC ISSUE
Color Wheel, a literary journal published since 1990, is soliciting submissions for a music-themed special issue. We are looking for articles, poetry, lyrics and/or musical notation, essays, etc related to any and all aspects of music, sound, instruments, voice, and song. General guidelines:
Poetry - most styles, free verse, high quality, poems up to 8 pages in length will be considered. Longer poems considered if the material is exceptional. Essays / Articles / Creative Nonfiction - Personal journalism / narrative style appreciated. Artwork - including black & white photography, Very short fiction (less than 1,200 words & must be exceptional; we're not going to publish much fiction) "Counterculture" musings of all types (definition of counterculture and musing is open to your interpretation) Our interests range from classical music to world music to indie music in all its forms, as well as folk, psychedelic, experimental music. We’’re open to numerous possibilities and look forward to creating a delightful and stimulating issue for readers. The issue will be published in mid to late 2006.
