VOLUNTEER POSITION: AWARDS ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE CARL BRANDON SOCIETY AWARDS

The Carl Brandon Society, which exists to promote the visibility of people of colour in science fiction community, is inaugurating two juried literary awards: one for speculative fiction by a writer of colour, and one for speculative fiction by anyone that deals with issues of race and ethnicity. The incumbent will need to be organized, communicative and resourceful, and have a few hours to devote to it each week, especially during the reading period. The workload varies seasonally, and in this initial year there will be additional set-up, but the position is estimated at 50 - 70 hours annually. Information about the Carl Brandon Society is here: http://www.carlbrandon.org

If you're interested, please apply by Nov. 12, 2005 to nalo@carlbrandon.org with a letter that includes a description/list of your qualifications.
