Film Screening: The Journey (Chicago)
The feature film, THE JOURNEY, now screening through Reeling Chicago: the 24th Chicago Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. Called the first Indian film since Deepa Mehta's Fire to seriously and sensitivley portray a lesbian relationship," (Outfest 2005), and after sold out screenings in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, New York and Chicago, the multiple-award winning feature film, THE JOURNEY, is returning to Chicago through the Reeling Chicago Film Festival. THE JOURNEY is the story of Kiran, who is mortified by her growing lesbian desire for Delilah, in a idyllic South Indian community where arranged marriage is the only acceptable form of coupling.
