2005-06 Winners of Edward and Sally Van Lier Fellowship

The Asian American Writer's workshop just announced the winners of the 2005-2006 Edward and Sally Van Lier Fellowship: Jennifer Chang, Poetry; Tim Mullaney, Fiction; N. Rain Noe, Fiction; and a South Asian, Annapurna Potluri, Fiction.

Annapurna Potluri has been published in Fiction, The Minetta Review, The Gallatin Review and First Friday Magazine. She received a graduate degree in linguistics and literature from the University of Cambridge in England. She is currently working on a novel and a collection of humorous non-fiction stories.

The fellowship program is designed to assist emerging Asian American writers in developing their professional careers. Fellows were judged by a committee consisting of two poets, two prose writers, one editor and one agent.
