Priyanka Sacheti

I am currently working as a freelance journalist in the Sultanate of Oman although I have been pursuing creative writing since the age of eight.I have published three books of poetry as well as various publications in various magazines, newspapers and onlin e journals during my childhood; my poetry has been included in various anthologies as well as been awarded in poetry competitons. I still write poetry although I am now primarily focusing on short stories. I completed an unpublished manuscript of short stories when I was eighteen and am currently working on a second short-story collection. I am primarily interested in stylistic innovation such as experimenting with narrative structure as well as with language itself; thematic influences presently governing my writing include Indian diaspora, arranged marriage, and religion and mythology.
